Ep05 and Ep06 The breakup and the sex episodes. I'm going to be sad when I'm done with this show. It's all kinds of good quirky. Martin is giving in to his weird side more which I don't think is quite helping. The interactions between the old men and the millenial are really funny and they need more of that. Red herrings continue to fly.

And done. Another fine silly murder. A tank full of red herrings along with President McKinley. I like the odd elements they do in this show. For instance while recreating the crimes, they do the scenes but the three detectives are there watching it unfold.
Now that this is done, no more Hulu for me.

3 eps in s1. It’s amusing. Martin & Short rehash old roles but they’ve got a comfortable chemistry. Honestly I’ve never cared for Short - something about his egotism routine hits too close to home for many actors I’ve known. It’s Gomez’s next gen deadpan that breathes life into their partner schtick and as a threesome, the chemistry is more volatile and engaging. I’ve watched her grow up on screen and it’s good to see her amongst veteran comedians. The cameos make for a good hat trick as always. I do like how the characters are unfolding. The eps are short which makes them more digestible.

And just like that, I binged all of s1. Fun show. Addictive.

I liked the show because it was just fun but very smart. The seasons get better.

If I wanted smart, I'd watch more PBS.
I'm really just in it for cameos like Jane Lynch & Roy Wood Jr.
And I identify with Selena's character. Her relationship to Martin & Short kinda reminds me of my relationships to D00M.

Binged 6 eps of s2 but in my defense, the eps are short, especially when I skip the recaps and the opening credits. I’ve got a ton of stuff in my queue that I’m eager to get at but I can’t stop watching this. Shirley & Cara? Nice! And I didn’t know Andrea was still alive.
The more I watch, the more I identify with Selena’s Mabel. But I kinda identified with Selena’s Alex on Wizards or Waverly Place too. Weird. Something about her deadpan sass has always worked for me.

S2 done. Still fun. Still addictive. Even got a few genuine lol moments and a hint of a musical with The Sound of Silence (ironic that Selena gets only one subdued lyric line in).
But I gotta take a break now. I’m so behind with the rest of my queue and this dragon year has a few more adventures in store for me that will take me away from the screen (I almost said ‘tube’ but that’s dated now, isn’t it?)

S3 is not as good IMO. Too many characters for one thing.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll lower my expectations.
I must really get at the rest of my queue and then circle back around for S3.

I am back in the building. Saw the first two episodes. Guess what? There's another murder in the building. Plus, Hollywood is turning the podcast into its own movie. Hollywood bts always gets me. Although, I never understand why when they show a backlot there are always people dressed in costume walking around. That never happens. And yet in every movie and tv show that shows the areas around the soundstages, there are always people in costume.
Good mystery so far. I liked meeting Richard Kind and the other Westenders. I'm ready for a good season.

What season are you on?
I’m not going back to this building until I have time to binge s3 and that won’t be until after thanksgiving.

Season 4 or bust, Dude. I'm in Hollywood. I've got Zach, Eva Longoria, and Eugene Levy.

Am I up to episode 4? Things are flying by. I like the idea of the stuntman hangout. Paul Rudd was a bit annoying. I do like the Westies led by Richard Kind. Although the resolution to the Westie situation was a bit pat.
