So I'm in Tokyo Central tonight getting my fix of Japanese drinks & snacks and the muzak is all this weird Japanese reggae. I'm enjoying it and it prompts me to treat myself to a sixer of Ramune (melon) and an unagi churashi that was marked down 20% because it's about to go bad. Then, Jesus, a latino checking me out, say "I remember you. You're the guy with the voice like Pedro Pascal." I do remember a checkout guy saying that to me a few months back. Maybe it was his go-to pick up line because he's got the gayyellow fever. Wouldn't be the first time, but he didn't trigger my gayday at all. True, living out of SF these last two decades has made my gaydar rusty.
I'm thinking of poaching this thread for my Weird Asian Market experiences. I go to them once or twice a month, alternating between the Japanese & Chinese ones (I can't sort the Korean ones - there's a huge one on the El Camino in svale now and I was totally lost in there).
