Or Hobbs and Shaw, my mind just keeps substituting those names.
Lots of booms. Lots of louds. Lots of waiting around with snappy dialogue until we get to the big set piece. Then we do some more snappy dialogue.
As noted by The Rock, this is the fourth time they have had to save the entire world, so it's got that going for him. Jason Statham plays the tough guy that he's been playing in every movie for the last decade. I really wish someone would give him a roll where he doesn't have to sneer so much.
There's a lot of references to family which I guess is a thing for the F&F franchise. The Rock has to come to terms with his estranged family. Statham gets to talk to his mom in jail and his sister is the main focal point of the movie, who he is also estranged with.
The Rock and Statham spend the whole film bickering until they learn they need to work together if they are going to defeat Idris Elba. The Cliche dumpster had backed up and was unloading the entire truck.
The stunts were fine. The action sequences were fine, if ludicrous. Knowing it's F&F, you wait for the big ridiculous car chases and there they were.
It was a good diversion for the morning if not the most challening of faire.
Yes, the Queen is out of town. How did you guess?

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
