Funniest sitcom I've seen in years.
Set in 1992 Derry, Northern Ireland, Derry Girls follows a group of 16 year olds they navigate Catholic School an sectarian violence in Northern Ireland. Although there's not much sectarian violence.
Maybe there are a lot of Irish in-jokes in the plots and the accents are hard to comprehend, but there is something about this show that I find particularly enjoyable. I especially like the Grandfather and the Nun Headmaster.
Episode 4 which we saw last night had to do with the miracle of St. Mary's tears and a really handsome young priest who gets the girls hearts aflutter.
