The Hotel Artemis is a hospital for crooks in a riot filled future Los Angeles run by Jody Foster. Foster plays the Nurse. She is ably assisted by Dave Bautista who plays the health care professional/bouncer Everest.
The Nurse is in rough shape constantly nursing a bottle of whiskey. Everest constantly looms. The Hotel Artemis is hopping with patients. There's the gun dealer who's getting his face fixed. The knife legged woman from Kingsman has a bullet wound. And Johnny Cochran has dragged his brother in after a botched robbery. Meanwhile Spock has shown up demanding that they save a bed for his injured father who is on his way.
It's all very tense and stylish in a run down over saturated sort of way. There are plenty of fights and scenes where the actors can chew the scenery with each other. Bautista gets to be Bautista.
At the end of the day, it felt like a dinner of candy. At the time it felt really good, but in the aftermath you have to ask was it really worthwhile.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
