Why Greg hates the forum

Yeah, my bad about the forum being down for two days. TuCows, a DNS provider was sending me missives asking me to verify the account. I either never got them (which I didn't) or tossed them. I got on with Tech Support and they said that TuCows was verifying my contact information. I needed to go in and hit the button that said my information was accurate. So, I did just that without actually verifying that it was accurate.

Turns out I still had a ten year old email address in there. My verification emails were going to <!-- e --><a href="mailto:lyncher@sprintmail.com">lyncher@sprintmail.com</a><!-- e -->. Ooops. I changed it. Site is back up. None of you probably even noticed it was missing. I did. I have Amazing Spiderman to talk about.

I was going into ddts (Doom delirium tremens).

Now I have to spend the whole day on the beach self-medicating in order to recover.

Who is spiderman? Is he like spiderpig?

Now, if you could just make it stop redirecting me to the porn sites when I try to access the forum on my iPad, that would be great. :oops: (I'm assuming of course that this is a bug, and not a feature.)

If I don't enter the forum via an email notification link, it still takes me to "instabang.com" or "badoink.com."

Something nefarious is detecting the User Agent string as iOS and redirecting to:

...which then redirects to various "dating" sites with the page title "Campaign Launcher Page"

If you change your current desktop browsers UA to:

I think I have found the file that redirects to the porn ap. I have removed it.

No...it's still redirecting. You can test with Safari by enabling the Develop menu in the Preferences->Advanced, then open a new window and from the Develop menu, choose "User Agent -> Safari iOS 7 iPhone", then go to <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://brotherhoodofdoom.com/phpBB3">http://brotherhoodofdoom.com/phpBB3</a><!-- m -->
