I joke. The boat leaves the 27th. I wouldn't let you down, Lucy. Plus repeat after me, Sony NXCAM.

Some days we have to leave Lucy's universe. Not often. Sometimes. Remember: Broadcast quality digital.

Three fun filled days and nights at a Marriott Courtyard teaching sales reps the newest toys in the software. The president of the company is coming for a quick visit, to scare the bejeezus out of them with their new quotas and according to my boss, to congratulate me (laugh at me?) on the occasion of my 20th anniversary with the company. They used to give out wooden plaques. Apparently this year I get a piece of paper (don't know if it's framed or not) and a Visa gift card. Woo-hoo.

Framed.
And the gift card is just enough to get an hour of massage. Woo-hoo! Now, if I could just find an hour -- and a decent masseur.

San Francisco - Hyatt Regency Embarcadero - March 12-13. Arriving SFO Friday morning around 11-ish; don't have to teach until Saturday morning.

...that Friday is Phil Lesh's 70th B-day party at BGC. Lesh was the bass player for the Grateful Dead and this marks the return of the Further tour (where I was at NYE).
BGC is on the other side of Market from the Hyatt - a long colorful stroll or a very short BART ride. If you want to drop in on that show, I can surely get you in.

Counter-offer: Late dinner with The Grrl and I in North Beach. I finish teaching at 8:30, so it would be 9, 9:30pm or so.
Not as glamourous as Phil Lesh, but only prescription drugs will be involved and the noise-level will be substantially lower.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Only a few DOOM fares well beside DM in RM mode.
I have this very fond memory of Greg holding a bucket for a dude and just wincing like "wtf did I follow DM here? I could be home watching TV." heh, heh. That just brings a smile to my face, just thinking about it. ![]()

Waiting to hear what I'm committed to with work, but given my safety consciousness, I'm thinking late night dinner with the Yeti and Grrl sounds lovely.

With Yeti & Grrl, tq will surely have a fine meal and pleasant conversation.
With DM, tq might wake up in Cancun in the back of a VW bus, dressed in tiedye and renamed Starflower. Yea, I'd go with the safe route myself.

If not the van, at least get to see people throw up in a bucket.
