Christina wanted to watch this. I was hesitant because I feared it would be bad. I was correct. It looks great - set design and costume design are really top notch - but the cinematography is annoying with way too much fish eye lens. And like Maestro, it's part black and white, and part color. I thought I might enjoy the many shots of Emma Stone mostly naked, but the sex scenes are super un-sexy. If I were in my 20s I think I might have liked it since it's strange, but now I just found it silly, and parts were boring. It could have been shorter. And there are some really bad accents by Willem Dafoe and Mark Ruffalo. Emma Stone's performance was certainly not worthy of an Oscar, but that's how those awards go.

I don't recommend this at all. After it was over I regretted not turning it off earlier.
