Only Michelle Yeoh could've played Evelyn in EEAAO. It's a true tour de force for her.

I heard that initially they wanted Jackie Chan.  He turned it down, so they totally rewrote it for Michelle.  That's the rumor, at least.

Anyway, LCF and I have now seen it (in Fremont).  I'll have to watch it again with full subtitles--but the visuals pretty much tell the story, except when they don't make a lick of sense.

I was thinking throughout, "Here's a movie where the actors just have to do what the director and the script tell them to do, and trust that it will all make sense after editing and post."
