Doom Dreams

[Drunk Monk]

I'm in a sterile lab - like a set from Space 1999. We are studying this little girl who has this psychic mind power that can make people face their worst nightmares and kill them out of fright. Or maybe she can actually manifest their worst nightmares into physical form. It's an ambiguous part of the dream. She does it to this random guy and a horrific ogre appears and bites him in half. It's terrifying - but I can't describe the ogre in that Lovecraftian way because it came from my subconscious and was more a sense of immense horror than something fully fleshed out in my imagination.  

There's a lab partner that I'm working with to study this girl. She's got powers too and can stop the girl from doing evil by pressing a point between the girl's eyes. But she's becoming frightened of the girl's growing power. The girl is coming into puberty and starting to get that teen angst, and lashing out. We are afraid that she will be impossible to control soon. 

The girl unleashes a tentacled beast of Cthulhu proportions. Again, I can't describe it beyond that it was huge and had a face of tentacles. My lab partner loses it and collapses in fear. I talk the girl down, using my best calming skills, despite being terrified myself. This is a full on nightmare.

Then Yuki barks at something and wakes me up.

Moral of the story - watching The Irregulars and Cannon Busters just before bedtime produces weird dreams.
