Brilliant! Made me proud of America again, something I haven’t felt in way too long. It was an excuse to drop in on Tara that we knew she couldn’t refuse and we were all blown away. It’s everything they say and more - funny, tragic, revolutionary, smart, political, relevant, catchy, imaginative, a masterpiece. Stacy read the book, a monstrous tome, and felt the liberties taken were justifiable, so much so she’s now fantasizing about seeing it again from the front seats (which are like $800+ now). I avoided any prep and was completely engaged by its wit and staging. It’s dense - hip hop is fast and can get off 5x the lyrics in the same time as typical showtunes. Turns out I really knew nothing about Hamilton beyond the duel. This may well have been the best broadway show I’ve seen.
