it's funny, well written, well acted and has a pretty good cast of pretty CW people. I think it will be hard to sustain the odd zombie brain of the week formula, but I'm still buying into it.
And such great recipes!

Xmas special (from 2014? why have I not heard of this before?!?) Now streaming on Netflix. I haven't watched it yet, but I've added it to my list...

Quote:That Moment When Black Mirror's Christmas Episode Got Super Creepy
We’ve loved the UK anthology show Black Mirror, and we’re excited to see more episodes coming in the near future to Netflix. While we wait, the Christmas episode has appeared on Netflix streaming, and it’s a creepy one.
The latest episode in Charlie Brooker’s show aired in 2014 originally, but you can now watch it on Netflix. This episode is really three separate episodes stuffed into one larger one - it’s a really cool narrative trick that they pull off here, and it’s one of the reasons why the show is one of the absolute best.
The episode opens with Jon Hamm and Rafe Spall in a remote cabin. They’ve apparently been there for five years and rarely spoke.
As Matt (Hamm) tries to get his companion to talk, he goes into his background - he helped implant a device that essentially copied a person’s personality and stuck them into a machine. In the first story, Hamm copied a woman’s mind and used her as the operating system for her house. Then, it gets really creepy.
To motivate the copy, he manipulates time. When she was first uncooperative, he let her sit for a month (just seconds for him), then six months. After sitting with nothing to do, she was more than ready to comply.
In the next story, Potter (Spall) opens up, and talks about how he and his girlfriend split up, and how she blocked him. Because of the implants that he had in his eyes, he couldn’t actually see her - or her child.
The two stories come together in brilliant way, one that left me speechless by the end. New episodes are expected to come sometime later this year.
White Christmas can now be streamed on Netflix.

I tried to watch Legends of tomorrow. Couldn't make it. It was just too dumb.
Started watching War & Peace. HP factor 1 (Slughorn), Downton factor 1 (Rose, who I predict will be the next big UK starlet), X factor 1 (Scully or is it Mulder? Whatev man). S lured me in saying there was a sword fight and I wound up watching 3 eps before I found it - decent sword fight for bbc. Doesn't feel at all like Russia tho. Feels like UK but snowy.

Yeah, Legends of Tomorrow. I enjoy the two bad guys in the cast, Captain Cold and Firestorm. The rest are just annoying especially Black Canary. That actress only has a passing acquaintance with actual acting. But I'm still watching.
I'm quitting on Supergirl. There is dumb, dumber and then there is Supergirl.

I forgot about Supergirl. Did that start up again?
Aren't all comic book superheroes kinda dumb? I mean it's not like War & Peace. Btw, Stacy has taken that wristbreaker tome on and says that the new show follows the book fairly accurately...so far.

Right now the only new show I am watching is Shadowhunters. Not great but I started because I enjoyed the bad yet enjoyable film from the first book. I then actually read that book (at work while running the scanner, so I got paid for it) and can already see that the series is playing a little loose with the source material.
We were following Gotham but it got too violent for the wife and I didn't really care when she stopped recording it; I am always finding good/bad films to record.
And like a couple of you I do enjoy Counting Cars every time I see it. Partly because the Count is so ridiculous, and partly because the cars are awesome.

That actually makes me want to see it. Wait, are you Lucy holding the football now? Because that would be an admirable second intention ploy.
Ah, football. I'm going to a game in a few days. I think I've only been to one or two other NFL games in my life ever. I'm so not worthy, but I'm still going to gloat over it.
Downton took a sanguinuous turn. That's all I'm really watching now. Flirting with War & Peace, and S thinks I should check out Billions. T has been binging Friends and I never liked that show, so I haven't had a Sailor Moon fix in a while. I still watch Star Wars Rebels but I'm not that into it.

At a quick glance, I thought that last line meant Downtown took a bloody turn and I wondered what was happening in SF for the Super Bowl prep.
Note to self: Slow down, pay more attention.

"Legends of Tomorrow" seems like a showcase for sets, props and costumes. It's very pretty with nice cinematography. The acting is terrible but I'll watch a few more for the eye candy.
I'm also watching the "X-Files" reboot. Everyone looks old and tired.

We invested in the CBS app for our appleTV for Colbert, and with that comes vintage Star Trek, Mission Impossible & Twilight Zone. And Supergirl. Why is it that comicbook prison cells don't have toilets? I know I know, it's dumb and getting dumber but...well I have no excuse.
We may let go of Showtime. We only had it for Homeland and may keep it for Billions, which is painfully over written but Giamatti vs. Lewis is fun.
Just one more ep of Downton. That makes me sad.

Agent Carter for me. a lot of Shaw Brothers, courtesy of El Rey. The new Craig Ferguson show. Forged in Fire (awesome forging/sword-making skillz). I binged Angie Tribeca, which is good, stupid fun.

The Downtown Abbey finale was sweet as treacle. It made me sad though, as those beloved characters found a special place in my heart and now I have no show that I'm particularly committed to watching. Who'd a thought that an Upstairs Downstairs remake ala Jane Austen without any sword fights or Bollywood numbers could have given me such joy. I may just have to rewatch it all from the beginning now.
I'm still watching Castle out of habit. And I watch the Daily, Nightly, Tonight, Late Night, SNL shows if they have a good guest or I need a clearer take on the news. We got CBS for Colbert, and it has all the old Mission Impossibles, so I've been enjoying those again. I just watched the one where they take Capt. Kirk back to his days as a 40s gangster - it was one of the more implausible episodes but worth it to see a Shatner freakout.

I was going to bail on my two guilty pleasures, Star Wars Rebels and Supergirl. Then SWR did a yoda/darth/anakin ep, followed by a droid ep, both were amusing. SG got exposed to red kryptonite and turned evil for one episode and that was great. Heck, I'd rather watch more eps of the evil SG than the adorkable one.

I gave up on SG but will be tuning back in for the Flash crossover episode.
