No Seagal, no Van Damme, but.... - Drunk Monk - 07-22-2008 ...I just interviewed David Carradine. It was short phoner, but we even talked a little about my all time fav flick of his Death Race 2000! - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 07-22-2008 Speaking of jobs...HK, how's the new job? Did you ask about me? - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 07-22-2008 I worked with Carradine. Twice. I'm sure he'll remember. Ask him if his license plate still reads IKUNGFU. - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 07-22-2008 ...and Greg is the guy who stole his teeth. CF & LCF have already read this... - Drunk Monk - 08-14-2008 ...but I thought I'd share it with the rest of you. Wish I knew about the IKUNGFU vanity plate. As for the teeth, got it covered. 8) http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/ezine/article.php?article=779 Check the post date - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 08-14-2008 It's been up for a while. I will post picture as soon as I find the negative. i just did a phoner interview with RZA - Drunk Monk - 11-05-2008 the back story: http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/magazine/article.php?article=100 http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/ezine/article.php?article=5 stayed tuned. more 2 come... part one of that RZA interview - Drunk Monk - 11-19-2008 http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/ezine/article.php?article=795 there will be two more installments. it was a very productive interview. part two will be on stands in february. Qi tie! - Drunk Monk - 05-13-2009 So my boss goes to Beijing recently and visits with the Chinese Health Qigong Ass. CHQass is an emerging international body, which may well be the new recipient of the gov't support previously allocated to wushu for their failed olympic bid. CHQass mimicked the wushu model a bit too closely - it even holds qigong competitions which could be potentially more boring than tai chi competitions. Anyway, my boss brings back a gift from the org, a qi tie! That's right - a tie infused with qi to empower the wearer. It came in a spectacular red box with a rainbow holographic CHQass logo. The tie itself is made of fine silk, bright with with red swirlies, and has a CHQass logo tucked discreetly under the flap (good for flashing if anyone asks). It looks like what might happen if you microwaved a plate of peppermint candies. I can hardly wait to bust it out. You *KNOW* I'll be rocking it for our KFM tournament. It'll be better than my extensive Garcia tie collection for that event. P.S. part 3 of RZA: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/ezine/article.php?article=808">http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/ezine/a ... rticle=808</a><!-- m --> XTreme JC Collection Cap - Drunk Monk - 01-18-2010 I just got handed a Jackie Chan Collection XTreme cap by Mrs. Iron Crotch. It's denim blue with red embroidery, including Jackie's Dragon symbol under the brim. It's got that distressed look and a super long brim. Not my colors really, but it's free. I'm still hoping for some JC Collection shirts. Re: My job is not so bad... - The Queen - 01-24-2010 Sometimes it pays to be nice to the people you meet; never know what opportunities they might turn into.[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND] I just got a new boken - Drunk Monk - 02-23-2010 It's a sample out of some gorgeous hardwood, nice and slim, yet very resilient. This will be my new pillow sword. Perk of the job. Some get to drive subs. I get a new sword. Re: My job is not so bad... - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 02-23-2010 Is pillow sword a euphemism? And what happened to the old one? You've never heard the term pillow sword? - Drunk Monk - 02-26-2010 The old one is still under the bed, waiting to be swapped out. Re: My job is not so bad... - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 02-26-2010 I hadn't actually. But I could guess. Doesn't mean I can't allude . . |
