so what happened?

Re: TV Kinda rocks now - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 09-23-2008

CS4 came out and it was awesome. I start downloading on October 12th.

Re: TV Kinda rocks now - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 09-23-2008

Did you mean Heroes?

It was great. Everybody hates everybody. All the alliances are changed. Everyone's motivation has shifted. People have been given goals again. We only have half that irritating couple from South America, fortunately it's the hot half. It was good to see they have Los Angeles's library tower in Tokyo.

Some good new evil characters. A lot of evil in the good characters. You should have watched. You will, you know. Give in now. All your friends are watching.

heroes is a gateway show - Drunk Monk - 09-24-2008

just one viewing and i'll be hooked. i know it. then i'll be a worthless tv addict. i'm ok with that, just not the tv part. if i'm going to be addicted, there are far more amusing passtimes.

nope. just say no.

bet Hayden and Ali look good...

Re: TV Kinda rocks now - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 09-24-2008

Only if you like Ali in bras and garters. Other than that, they were okay. Is that your TV calling?

You need to watch Fringe, as well. You know you want to. What good is that big TV otherwise?

Did I mention the High Heels - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 09-24-2008

I think Dawson was lactose intolerant.

Having a wee case of the writer's block today, DM?

writer's block. you know it. - Drunk Monk - 09-24-2008

looking for inspiration on youtube. will dm find it there?

I'll see your commercial and raise you the inspiration:

calling foul on ED - too off topic - Drunk Monk - 09-29-2008

nice vid tho, ed. very entertaining.

So ok, Dm did watch the rerun of the Heroes season opener on Saturday and there were no garters on Larter. She was in a nice pearl necklace and a cream-colored teddy, but no garters. Dm just happened across the rerun doing some surfing, just before he was sorely tempted to go crash Shoreline (Journey, Heart and some other band from our high school daze) but the Heroes opener seemed easier than driving over dumbo to mtn view. Besides, dm was in no condition to drive.

That being said, the new season twists didn't really grab dm. The Nikki/Tracy twist feels rehash. Invisible Linderman was ok, but a tad too Fight Club. Suresh issues reek of Goldblume's The Fly. The new villains, well, the Peter twist is good, but the villains seem played out. Clair's violation by Skylar could have been so much more gripping, but came off as rehash, relaunch. Seriously, after last season's strike bailout, it all seemed pointless. I'm going to bail on it tonight. Going to practice. Got to work off my fat ass for watching so much tv.

Dm remains unhooked to Heroes season 3. Of course, he said that about season 2 and wound up watching all of it.

Re: TV Kinda rocks now - The Queen - 09-29-2008

I'm not hooked by Heroes yet either (although I did like hearing that evil mom of Peter and whatshisname played by Adrian Pasdar also being Sylar's mom -- that makes sense to me).

But I'm totally psyched about seeing the new episodes of Chuck and Life, and Heroes is conveniently sandwiched in between, so I'll be couch potatoing all night.

Re: TV Kinda rocks now - thatguy - 09-29-2008

2 more days until Pushing Daisies starts up again. The last season got cut short because of the writer's strike, so I'm hoping they come back with a vengeance.

You know, I'm so not addicted to Heroes - Drunk Monk - 09-30-2008

In fact, I watched last night, and I can still pass on it. I can give up at any time. Seriously.

I did go to practice. I came home and my family had a fresh homemade salad and a lasagna waiting. They're too good to me, for sure.

I hate butterfly effect stories because you get involved and things get critical and intense and then it's all solved by someone going back/forward in time and fixing it. Too butterfly-ex-machina. I also hate the Hiro is such a geek. Way to rep Asians. It's Revenge of Long Duk Dong. Damn it's amazing I ever got dates back when I was single. I'm glad the new villains were cleaned up quickly. Claire and her mom cooking in a container was entertaining and is addressing my original Sylar violation issue of last post. The Tracy/Nikki thing got better - maybe this new doctor created a legion of Nikkis - the Ali Army. Maybe Tracy will find a third, and have to fight her to the death ala classic Capt. Kirk. Hell, now I'd watch that. It'd be better than a telenovela.

I know what's going to turn Sylar to good. It's so obvious. It's the pom.
