Tom Lehrer 7/26/2025
#1
He was a tremendous part of my childhood. I would listen to his albums for hours. I knew all the words. Just recently on the trip in the Eastern Sierra, the Queen decided we should listen to all his old albums. Still knew all the words.

My chance of finding him in Santa Cruz is now ended.

I was saddened to hear that he passed. One of the rare positive shared family things was the love of his music.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Honestly I was only passingly familiar with him. Listened a bit but not a lot.

My family listened to Dr. Demento religiously during my formative years. My world view has been skewed by Tom Lehrer, spike jones, etc. clever, sometimes cynical, biting criticism wrapped in a funny package.

He’s now jamming in heaven with Ozzy, chuck mangione, Hulk Hogan and the guitarist from Golden earring…
