AP was promoting this in a big way at SDCC.  It was the 3rd attraction at the AP activation, but we skipped it because there was another long wait in line.  There were also skins on the Green Line trolleys.  How much does that cost anyway?  And a skin on a feckin skyscraper?  That's gotta cost a fortune.

One of the people we met, a friend of the friend who got us into the AP activation, had read the graphic novels and said it was super gritty.  He was surprised that AP chose to go with it.

Just started. Good cast - Pegg (in a minor underused unfunny role so far), Urban (doing a Hugh Jackman) & Shui (still gorgeous filling out her white blouses with perkiness). So far, it’s mostly about Urban & Shue. Feels very rehashed - Watchmen meets MCU parody with echoes of Big Man Japan commercialism jabs but good special effects. Same author as Preacher so it gets very R like so many streaming shows now. Waiting for Fukuhara’s character to appear but may bail soon. Not quite doing it for me.

Too much redbull placement.   Rolleyes

I saw the first episode as well. I liked it. But it didn't really have anything really different to say. It seems these tropes have been around for awhile. Plus, watching the trailer gave the whole first episode away. I hope there is fresh stuff in the next episodes.

I will now watch the first episode again with the Queen to see if she is on board with it.

Finished ep 3 but my interest is waning.  Still waiting for Fukuhara. Still only engaged when Shue appears.

Scapino said he liked it on sitonmyfacebook.

I’m liking it so far.

If you guys see it through, let me know which ep Karen Fukuhara appears. I may just jump to that.  I'm bailing after the SPOILER ALERT head-popping ass-eating role-playing scene END SPOILER at the end of E3.

Also if there's a good Shue scene, let me know.  I confess I'm still crushing on Ali.   Heart

So far, so fun.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Wow! Just wow. What Karen Fukihara did in the episode we saw last night was just amaze balls. Who knew she could do that? Utterly unbelievable.

Karen plays a character called the Female. She is a bad ass killer. They really shouldn't have opened her cage.

So in what ep does she first appear?  Don't make me IMDB it.

Actually never mind.  I'm already doing GoT, plus I just got sent a sneak preview link for Wu Assassins, so I got plenty to watch.

Don't give up on the Boys. We are nearing the end of the eight episodes and I want more. The first two episodes aren't really indicative of the whole story. So, much weird shit goes on. It's all about Homelander in the end.

As for your buddy, Karen, she appears in episode 4. And I get the feeling she is more of a prop than an actual character. She's mostly their to be provide information and to add to the story. But there isn't a lot too her.

Shue looks worse and worse as the show goes on. It's like they decided they didn't need to put make-up on her after a certain point. It took me a while to recognize Haley Joel Osment. And I'm really curious why Billy Zane keeps popping up as Billy Zane. He's in the background of a bunch of scenes and never really explained.

I say give it a chance or give it another chance.
