It's a single story about the end of the career of Laurel and Hardy. They have gone to England in the hopes of getting together for one final film. They are also going to do a tour of theaters while they are there. But the details of the tour are less than clear and a less than scrupulous tour promoter has them going to some very tiny clubs and doing all sorts of promotions for free.
You don't learn much about the duo except they are in financial straits. Hardy's health is poor. Laurel is struggling with drinking. It's all about of a downer. There don't seem to be a lot of insights into their careers except for the part where they are deep into the downside of it.
It's the story of their last hurrah because eventually the venues get bigger but they can't sustain the renewed success for long.
You'd really have to like this duo to want to see this film and even then you don't learn very much about them.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
