Rejuvenation Festival
#1
The headliner was Prezident Brown, who I mentioned here once before. He's a fav reggae performer, but he's never performed my fav tune of his for me, Soap Opera. I once met his whole band at SNWMF when it was back at Calaveras. I could have met him again as he was signing at a booth near me, but I didn't bother. In retrospect, I should have taken a new fb pic.

This was a free festival held only a short walk from my bungalow. Yesterday was fun here in the Cruz. First we went to buy T a wetsuit at the O'Neil parking lot sale. She's getting into body surfing. That was the only place we had to drive. Then we went to the 44th anniversary of Staff of Life where we sampled all sorts of treats and stocked up on a lot of stuff on sale. I actually went back later to get more bruchetta as it was less than half price. I went to Rejuvenation by myself first for recon - it was funny - very Rasta Cruz, great eavesdropping, belly dancing to digeridoo, tones of henna booths, hoopers. I got a free lighter from a hydroponics sponsor that says Keep Santa Cruz Green. But the music didn't hold me so I went downtown, then back home to get a beer out of my fridge. Then it was over to the 25th anniversary of Seabright Brewery, but that was too crowded. Then back to Rejuvenation with my family to catch Love Eternal, Reggae Angels and Brown. All the performances were really mediocre, but it was free and only a short walk from home. And I got another lighter, plus a Santa Cruz bumper sticker with the same slogan, only I won't be putting a hydroponics ad on my car.

It was a very enjoyable day and I didn't even make it to the beach.
