Oooh, a big shiny new book to read while I gear myself up to read George R.R.Martin's 'Dance with Dragons'
Hey, Dresden is a Ghost. Not really a spoiler since the name of the book is well 'Ghost Story'. Once again the armies of darkness are arrayed against the wizard and his friends but this time Dresden doesn't have any of his wizardly powers. What's a ghost to do?
There is a lot of expository about the line Dresden crossed in the last novel and how he is a danger to his friends. He deals with his anger issues. And he quips. A lot. Maybe too much. But it's the usual Butcher story. No great changes from the usual plot lines. All the same characters doing pretty much the same stuff they've done for the last twelve novels. Maybe the ghost bit was an opportunity to shake things up, but it really didn't.
But, it was a good read. A nice story. Better than some, worse than others. If you like Butcher, you should go get this from the library.
