I heard some buzz about this but it's the first time I've seen the trailer. Emily was good in Lemony. Vanessa was awesome in that hot tub shoot, umm, I mean HSM. Jaime was good in Samurai Girl and Dragonball...okay, well I don't know that for fact, I never saw either.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for sword hotties.

The screener is next Wed, so I'll have to cut out on Lady Gaga @ Oracle early. The closer the screener is to the premiere can bode poorly for a film.

I would bail on Gaga altogether but I have some RM bizness requiring attn. Having seen Gaga, methinks Sucker Punch will provide more entertainment. Besides, that's my day job, which always trumps my vol work, especially lately... Mad

Also, due to my recent time travel issues, my schedule was totally messed up - Gaga was the night before and the screener for Hanna was yesterday too, but I couldn't make it as I thought it was next week. Fortunately, there is a second Hanna screener, soon TBA.

If they had just strung together the fight scenes as a series of music videos, this would have been awesome. In 3D even better. It probably would have played the midnight-movie circuit forever.

Unfortunately there was dialogue and a feeble attempt to be Emo/Goth oh-so-dark and industrial.

The chick who played the girl was a really convincing babe.

I actually had Netflix, er Qwikster, er Netflix, deliver it. It lay on the kitchen table for many weeks. And then I just sent it back. My desire to see it couldn't overcome the sense, engendered here and elsewhere, that it was a horrible film and not worth my time.
