I think they are still firming up the schedule. The only place where you can see Iron Crotch is on the ticket page. In small print.

No Santa Cruz for me. One of the few festivals that saw the entire film.

Dear Greg,
Thank you for submitting Iron Crotch to the Santa Cruz Film Festival. We greatly appreciated having the opportunity to consider it and the artistry and work that went into it. I am sorry to write that we are not able to accept Iron Crotch in this year's festival.
Please know that your project was carefully considered by our programming team and that this decision was a difficult one to make. We received a large number of submissions this year for a limited number of spots.
Thank you again for sharing Iron Crotch with us. We wish you the best of luck and sincerely hope to have the opportunity to see more of your work in the future.
Sincerely,
Logan Walker
Director of Programming

New Orleans has declined.

New Orleans Film Festival Wrote:Dear Greg,

On behalf of the programming staff of the 37th New Orleans Film Festival, we want to thank you for sharing Iron Crotch with us. We were amazed by the breadth and passion we saw in this year’s submitted projects, and we’re honored to have spent time engaging with your work.

As you can imagine, narrowing down thousands of films into a lineup that can only include about 4% of them is an incredibly difficult task, and, unfortunately, we aren’t able to include Iron Crotch in this year’s festival.

We hope that you understand that this decision is in no way a reflection of the value of your film or of you as a filmmaker. We spent countless hours over the past several months watching and re-watching submissions, and meeting as a team to discuss every aspect of them. We truly fall in love with these films, and it’s always painful to have to whittle the list down and lose films for which we have such deep respect. Truly, we are in awe of the dedication it takes to bring a film project to life, and we hope you feel proud of what you’ve created.

We’ll be cheering for Iron Crotch as it continues its journey, and we hope you’ll consider sharing your future projects with us. It would be an honor to experience your future work.

With gratitude,

Clint Bowie | Artistic Director

Dear Greg,
I regret to inform you that your film was not selected for this years San Diego International Film Festival.
For our annual San Diego International Film Festival, we received thousands of incredible submissions, and with only a certain amount of slots available in our festival line up, this made our jobs difficult. The Festival screening committee was continually impressed by the high standard of filmmaking. Our programmers watched every submission multiple times, and were taken by the incredible achievements from the independent filmmaking community. We regret that the San Diego Intl Film Festival cannot screen more films. This was an incredibly difficult decision for our committee members. We greatly respect the tireless effort that went into creating your film.
Thank you so much for sharing your film with us. We wish you all the best with your future festival applications, and ongoing filmmaking career.  We would love for you to attend our Festival and be part of the Film Festival still! If you are interested we can offer you a 25% off discount code on a Pass.  Let us know if you wish to attend and we can send you a discount code.
Thank you again for sharing your project with us. We wish you the best of luck, and we hope to have the opportunity to view your work in the future.
Warm Regards,
Cassie, Programming Coordinator
Festival Screening Committee Members &

We are excited to be screening your film at the Indiewood Film Festival.

I have another friend who has a film debut at Indiewood now. Coincidentally he also wrote for KFTC back in the day. He often credits my encouragement for his writing career since we published his first paid articles. He shifted gears to horror writing, both reviews and his own fiction. and has made some short films based on his stories. We cross paths at SDCC every year. He usually tables for his uncle, an indie artist, but this year he was free floating and we managed to connect out of sheer luck.
Mike Lera’s The Shell debuts on the 14th at 7:30.

Oh, Red Rocks, what are you trying to tell me? I think they want me to come to the festival but are unsure if they want my film to come with me. I went to their website and their slate for September and November all seem full, so I don't know where I stand. Red Rocks makes their announcement on Sept 10.

Hi Greg,
Thanks again for participating in the Red Rock Film Festival. There were more films than anticipated that did well – only 12 did not make it past to the first round (not you – with some more that may be challenged by the preview team.)

As a result, our fist section in September filled up fast. We are now programming for our second section in November and are re-reviewing more films that were not already accepted.

To show appreciation for your progress you are granted one free Day Pass and access to discounted rooms in St. George regardless if you are accepted or not accepted or are being reconsidered which is about 2/3 of the films.

We are extremely busy and sorry we cannot answer emails every day and at the moment not opening emails from freeway@… or filmmaker@…

ROOMS FOR ST. GEORGE SECTION
Discount rooms are available at Tru by Hilton St. George. First Come, First Served. September 22-29, 2026. Book before September 11, 2026.
November section discounts to come later.

I am supposed to get an announcement today just not this one. I will not be going to Kerry this year. At least not for the Kerry FF.

Dear Greg,
Thank you for submitting your project to the Kerry International Film Festival. Unfortunately, we are not able to include it in our program this year.

Please know that your project was carefully considered by our programming team, and the decision was incredibly difficult to say the least. Unfortunately, not all of the wonderful projects we consider can be included, and we are forced to make many difficult decisions each year.

Thank you again for sharing your project with us. We wish you the best of luck, and we hope to have the opportunity to view your work in the future.
Sincerely,
Kerry International Film Festival

Oooooh. I got that obscure reference. And I've never written anything about Jaime, at least not to my recollection.
