The opening act sucks - a DJ dropping messy bass bombs, an emo singer with a scythe.
I’m enjoying the costuming. Merch line is cleaning up.
Young crowd - 20s - a lot in white face paint with black highlights. Skull & crossbones theme.

Crossed paths with the lead singer of the opening act backstage. He was carrying his scythe and skeleton prop, covered with blood. I gave him some polite props just to be encouraging.

The opening act was Ghost Mountain

The Garden was straight up punk to my ears. A two piece. Drums & bass. The drummer was impressive, not for skill or complexity but for sheer stamina. The guitarist was also the vocalist - meh.

The audience was just over 1K (2600 capacity). Lots of moshing and crowd surfing but no injuries. One case of crowd syndrome but she was surrounded by family and friends who said she was prone to anxiety attacks and thst took her home.

The bummer is that they’re not feeding us backstage anymore. Now it’s the lobby food, which was just subway sandwiches. Kinda lame. 

But a good night overall. My squad came together like voltron. And it was fun working woth the slugs again. A good test run for Drain.
