S3 plays to this shows strongest suit - guest stars. Colbert plays a caricature of himself, a late night show host, with Amy Sedaris as his show runner. A good ep, fun, and it touches on the craft of improv. Elsbeth’s fashions are even more outrageous but they feel designer level now.

S3e2 - Super cute ep. Elsbeth gets caught in a hostage situation at a toy store. Among the amusements were the hostage taker using a megaphone that he found in the store that changed his voice to a cartoon voice when negotiating and Elsbeth hot-wiring a nanny-cam teddy bear that her police chief could communicate through that animated the bear's mouth. Major nod to The Good Wife.

E3 is about an influencer who murders her husband. It’s not as strong as the last two, nor nearly as funny. I kinda guessed the tell. But Elsbeth’s friend, who’s deep undercover and somewhat written out of the first 2 eps returns and her story arc for the season takes off. Could be good.

Another mediocre ep but it marks the inclusion of Marisa, a great character from The Good Fight.

Been a moment since I’ve posted on this but I’ve been keeping up. It’s still amusing. The last ep was about supermodels. More of a comfort show for me. Good to eat dinner to…
