You know what? Now that I think about it, this all started with that moving Bigfoot statue. http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...8#pid42898

Germany's giant wooden penis has gone missing
It's been a week for unexplained phallic sculptures in the wild.
It's been a week for unexplained phallic sculptures in the wild. First the Utah monolith was removed, a group of men dismantling it within minutes and carting it away. Now a 6 foot 6 inch penis statue has gone missing from Grünten mountain in Bavaria, Germany, leaving behind a stump, sawdust, and lingering mystery.
Erected four years ago in equally mysterious circumstances, the enormous bratwurst quickly became a hiking landmark and local attraction. The wooden willy towered over travellers, who gathered on the 5,702 foot tall mountain to gaze upon its shaft like pilgrims of the peen.
This dildo for gods was a widely embraced fixture on the mountain trail, and had even been enshrined as a cultural monument on Google Maps. Unfortunately, with its secretive and unceremonious removal over the weekend, Germany's big dick is now permanently closed.
SEE ALSO: Utah monolith was apparently torn down by a group of dudes, not aliens
Local paper Allgaeuer Zeitung reports that police in Kempten, Bavaria are currently investigating the case of the purloined prick. However, it's unclear if any offence has actually been committed. The owner of the giant one-eyed monster was and still is unknown, so there is no clear victim in this penile kidnapping — aside from admirers of the epic trouser snake. The huge pipe simply appeared on the mountainside one day with no explanation, like a dirty miracle.
A prominent theory on the gargantuan pecker's origins is that it was the result of a practical joke by a group of young men. If this is the case, one hopes the original owner simply returned to carry off their wayward boner, and that the missing cock is now safe and warm in its loving forever home.
Unfortunately there are currently no clues regarding the beloved knob's disappearance, so we may never know who is behind world's biggest game of hide the sausage.
This isn't the first time the titanic tackle has come to grief. The massive member was previously knocked over in November, though it was quickly restored to its permanently erect state.
Side note: If you have an erection that lasts for two hours or more, that's called a priapism and you should seek medical attention immediately.

Meet Califorinia's monolith.
Late last month, a 2001 Odyssey-like monolith appeared in the Utah desert. Not long after, another identical-looking structure appeared in Romania. They've both since vanished (men were photographed dismantling the Utah monolith). Now, yet another monolith has been discovered, this time in California.
"There is currently a monolith at the top of Pine Mountain in Atascadero!" tweeted Connor Allen on Wednesday afternoon, with a trio of pictures capturing the strange new monolith at the top of Pine Mountain in Atascadero, California.

The world watched in wonder when a metal monolith was discovered in the southern Utah desert last month by wildlife officials who were counting sheep from a helicopter – stumping the Bureau of Land Management.
Two weeks after it appeared, the monolith was dismantled by four men.
But then another one appeared, this time across the globe in Romania. And just like the first one, it too vanished.
“The 2.8-meter-tall structure disappeared overnight as quietly as it was erected,” local journalist Robert Iosub told Reuters.
A third one appeared Wednesday, this time a top Pine Mountain in Atascadero, California.
Nobody knew who was responsible for the mysterious structures, until now.
While the monoliths’ origin has sparked countless theories, from aliens to a marketing ploy, a small community of “stunt artists” have now seemingly claimed responsibility — and are even offering up more… for a hefty $45,000 price.
The community of artists known as The Most Famous Artist posted a photo of the monolith on their Instagram account Friday saying only “monolith-at-a-service.com.” The photo of the three-sided metal monolith included specs of the artwork noting: “Authentic dimensions and museum quality materials; edition of 3+1 artist proof; delivery and installation included; Blockchain certification of authenticity, signed and dated ‘The Most Famous Artists 2020’” – and added delivery would take 4 to 6 weeks.
Later in the day the group posted Instagram pics of articles about them from Mashable, Fox News and Artnet – before adding a post with yet another monolith, this one in Joshua Tree National Park, adding “ANOTHER Monolith outside of Joshua Tree. That makes 4. What does it mean?” At the end of the day, to provide proof, the final post featured a masked artist in the process of making one of the mythical monoliths, and poking fun of the alien conspiracies, saying: “You mean it wasn’t aliens?!”
Instagram
When followers of the account asked, “Was it you?,” the account repeatedly responded: “if by you you mean us, yes.”
In an interview with Mashable, the founder of the collective, Matty Mo, who has been posting about the monolith on Twitter, said he didn’t post the Romanian monolith because: “I only had 3 spots for photos on my site.”
Mo, who once transformed the famous “Hollywood” sign in Los Angeles to read “Hollyweed,” “would neither confirm nor deny that he was taking credit, and wouldn’t share additional proof,” Mashable noted.
“I am not able to say much because of legalities of the original installation,” Mo wrote to Mashable via Twitter. “I can say we are well known for stunts of this nature and at this time we are offering authentic art objects through monoliths-as-a-service. I cannot issue additional images at this time, but I can promise more on this in the coming days and weeks.”
Meanwhile, potential collaborator Carlos Estrada noted on Instagram: “did me and @themostfamousartist make the monolith?” to which The Most Famous Artist responded in their own story: “NOT NO.”
Mashable noted that photographer Erik Junke, aka @photojunke on Instagram, could be another collaborator, adding that Junke posted images of the California desert captioned “Doorway” and “Doorway II.” The posts were also tagged “#monolith” and were included in the stories and were reposted by The Most Famous Artist and captioned: “Are people talking about monoliths or something? It’s like they didn’t see it coming.”

It wasn't until last month that the word monolith became extremely popular. The unique silver statutes been seen in Utah, California, Romania--now West Virginia can be added to that list.
"I think it's awesome. I think the fact that just some random art showed up in the woods and nobody knows where it came from is pretty cool," said Jon Evans.
"I think some people are getting kind of heated about it, but I'm excited about it."
Those who visit the Wolf Creek Trail system in Fayetteville say the silver aparatus appeared sometime last week, though they aren't sure why it's there or who placed it there.
"I was kind of suprised when I first saw it," said Andrew Forron.
"Not much goes on, on this piece of trail, it's kind of one of the harder trails here so not many people are out here. Rolling around the corner and seeing this thing was sort of a surprise."

A group of young men claiming to be Christians have posted a video of themselves tearing down a mysterious monolith that had appeared atop a California mountain and replacing it with a cross.
The monolith had been built near the town of Atascadero and sparked huge interest after the appearance of a similar silvery metal-faced monolith that had been discovered in the deserts of Utah.

'I guess this is a thing now, right?': monolith appears on California mountain – video report
That original monolith – which attracted hundreds of curious sightseers and garnered headlines worldwide – was also destroyed by visitors who were captured taking it down and carrying it away by an observer’s mobile phone video.

Now the Atascadero monolith has met a similar kind of fate, according to a report in the San Luis Obispo Tribune newspaper.
In a video, which was livestreamed and posted online, the group of young men drive from southern California to tear down the structure. Under cover of darkness, they hike up to the structure and tear it down while chanting “Christ is king!”. They then erect a homemade wooden cross in its place and drag the remains of the monolith down the mountain to their car.
During the video, the men also make offensive comments and drink substantial quantities of energy drinks, while also referencing Donald Trump and the QAnon conspiracy theory and their mission is to demonstrate “how much we love Jesus Christ”.
The vandalism angered local officials.
“We are upset that these young men felt the need to drive five hours to come into our community and vandalize the monolith,” Atascadero’s mayor, Heather Moreno, said in a news release. “The monolith was something unique and fun in an otherwise stressful time.”

A mysterious monolith has appeared on British shores just days after similar pillars were discovered and removed in America and Romania.
The three-sided metal object was found by beachgoers at Compton Bay on the Isle of Wight earlier today.
Several photos taken from different angles suggest the monolith is buried in the sand and gives and perfect reflection.
It is unclear how the heavy object was moved to the beach, which is only accessible by footpath.

Locals were quick to question whether images of the monolith posted on social media had been 'photoshopped' or if it was 'just a late April Fool's joke'.
But Wight photographer Alice Williams insisted it was real, sharing snaps of the eight-foot-tall structure at sunset in a local Facebook group.
The discovery comes after similar shiny metal structures were discovered and then swiftly removed in parts of the United States and Romania.
Elsewhere, tourists were flocking to the new metal monolith in California, after it showed up within days of others in Romania and Utah being removed.
Dozen of local hikers had been making the trek to the top of the mountain in Atascadero to snap a photo with the pillar, which mysteriously showed up on Wednesday.

The shiny pillar, which protruded some 12 feet from the red rocks of southern Utah, was first spotted on November 18 by baffled local officials counting bighorn sheep from the air.
Photographer Ross Bernards, who visited the monolith Friday, described in an Instagram post accompanying the photos how four men suddenly appeared that night, pushed the object over and dismantled it before carrying it off in a wheelbarrow.
'One of them looked back at us all and said "Leave no trace." That was at 8:48,' wrote Bernards.

The monolith on November 27 just moments before it would be taken down by the group of four
Sylvan Christensen has identified himself on Instagram as one of the four men responsible for removing the shiny 12-foot pillar on Friday, which was first spotted near to Canyonlands National Park on November 18 by officials from the Utah Department of Public Safety.
In a video posted to his personal page on Tuesday, Christensen and three others are seen strapping the structure to a wheelbarrow and taking it away from the canyon.
'The safe word is run,' one of the men is heard joking in the video as the group cart the monolith away.
The short clip, which has already been viewed over 100,000 times on TikTok, was captioned: 'Don’t abandon your personal property on public land if you don’t want it to be taken out #utahmonolith #leavenotrace,' accompanied with a shrugging emoji.
News of the Utah pillar's initial discovery quickly went viral around the world, with many noting the object's similarity with strange alien monoliths that trigger huge leaps in human progress in Stanley Kubrick's classic sci-fi film '2001: A Space Odyssey.'
Some observers pointed out the object's resemblance to the avant-garde work of John McCracken, a US artist who lived for a time in nearby New Mexico and died in 2011.
But McCracken's representatives have given ambiguous and at times conflicting responses to this theory, prolonging an international guessing game that intensified further with the monolith's sudden removal Friday.

A shiny monolith vanished on Tuesday from Romania's mountainous Neamt county, four days after its sudden appearance close to an ancient Dacian fortress.
'The 2.8 meter (9ft) tall structure disappeared overnight as quietly as it was erected last week,' journalist Robert Iosub of the Ziar Piatra Neamt local newspaper, who had seen the structure, told Reuters.
'An unidentified person, apparently a bad local welder, made it ... now all that remains is just a small hole covered by rocky soil,' local reporters had discovered, he said.
The sheet metal structure had a badly-welded join, he added.
A spokeswoman for Piatra Neamt police, Georgiana Mosu, said officers are conducting an inquiry into the illegally-installed structure, which was positioned in a protected archaeological area from November 27.
The latest monolith appeared outside a sweet shop in Pittsburgh earlier this week.
However, owner of the Pittsburgh candy store, Christopher Beers, has revealed he commissioned the 10-foot tall, 24-in wide triangle of plywood covered in sheet metal to capitalise on the recent interest in the mystery structures.

These structures are similar to those found in Utah, Romania, California and UK.
One of the two monoliths was spotted at a nature reserve in the city of Kielce, and the other one on the riverbank in the Polish capital Warsaw.
The 9-ft tall strange metal object at Kielce was discovered on Wednesday morning by an employee working at the site, a report in Daily Mail said.
"It is about 2.5-3 meters tall. We don't know exactly when it appeared, either Tuesday after dark or at dawn...Nobody saw anything. Unfortunately, there is no monitoring in this place," the report quoted an official managing the Kadzielnia reserve as saying.
The second monolith, which was spotted on the banks of the Vistula river, stands some three metres (10 feet) tall, news agency AFP reported. The triangular structure has a dull silver-coloured surface and is held together by screws.
"A mysterious and unusual installation has emerged on the beach on the right [river] bank," Warsaw's Vistula district authorities said.
"If you spend your time actively on the Vistula river, it won't escape your attention," AFP quoted them as saying.
Meanwhile, Daily Mail reported a jogger as telling local media that she was running on her usual route along the river bank when she saw the monolith. "It is identical to the monoliths in the USA and Romania, all steel, three meters tall! Anybody knows what's going on?"

No one claimed responsibility for the installation of the monoliths as of Thursday.
This puzzling mystery has so far reached at least nine countries.
The first monolith appeared and then disappeared mysteriously in a desert in Utah. It was spotted on November 18. Another structure was found in Romania before it appeared atop a mountain in California days later. It was then again found on a beach in the Isle of Wight in England.
A shining metal object, the monolith seems right out of a science-fiction plot and has sparked a flurry of memes and even conspiracy theories on social media.
The appearance of the Utah object in late November sparked wild rumours of alien visitations because of its resemblance to the black monolith in the Stanley Kubrick science fiction film "2001: A Space Odyssey".
An anonymous art collective has taken credit for the Utah installation but like in Poland no one has yet claimed responsibility for those in Romania, the Isle of Wight and the Netherlands.

A mysterious monolith covered in coordinates has appeared in Adelaide after similar structures appeared across the US and Europe.
The latest monolith is a three-sided, three-metre-tall silver structure that was first sighted near the Seaford Train bridge in Noarlunga in Adelaide's southern suburbs at 6pm on Thursday.
Coordinates on the structure point to various locations across the globe, some of which are landmarks and some of which are seemingly random.

The top coordinate is a brownstone building in Brooklyn, New York, while the second location is the uninhabited island of Managaha in the Northern Mariana Islands, near Guam, in the Pacific Ocean.
Lastly, the bottom coordinates mark The Sphinx in Egypt's Al Giza Desert.
The monolith is located in Noarlunga, which is part of the City of Onkaparinga.
An Onkaparinga Council spokesman said he was only made aware of the structure after being contacted by the media and was currently investigating its origins.
The Adelaide sighting comes after two monoliths were spotted in Poland on Wednesday.
One was found on the banks of the Vistula river in the nation's capital Warsaw on Wednesday afternoon.
Prior to this, another was spotted in the southern city of Kielce at a former quarry turned into a nature reserve on Wednesday morning.
The first shiny pillar was spotted in southern Utah on November 18 by baffled locals and news of the object quickly went viral around the world.

Some observers pointed out its resemblance to the avant-garde work of John McCracken, a US artist who lived for a time in nearby New Mexico and died in 2011.
But McCracken's representatives have given ambiguous and at times conflicting responses to this theory, prolonging an international guessing game that intensified further with the monolith's sudden removal on Friday.
The Most Famous Artist, also known as Matty Mo, is also thought to have been behind some of the monoliths that appeared in the US.
The monoliths have sparked comparisons to those seen in the Stanley Kubrick film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Others have since popped up across the US, as well as in Colombia, Romania and the Netherlands.

Prior to the Polish structures, a monolith appeared on the top of a hill in Glastonbury in the UK on Wednesday with the words 'Not Banksy' etched onto it.
Walkers discovered the large silver structure on top of Glastonbury Tor - an ancient hill linked to King Arthur and celtic mythology.
It was believed the monolith had been placed there overnight - but was felled by a gust of wind.
The shiny triangular pillar featured a stencil drawing of a rat, similar to the style used by street artist Banksy.
Prior to that, another popped up on the Isle of Wight on Sunday, drawing a crowd of locals looking to take a selfie with the unusual object.
Designer Tom Dunford later admitted that he installed it as a tribute to others around the world.

UK: A three-sided metal monolith has appeared on a beach on the Isle of Wight on Sunday, following a month of similar structures being discovered and then disappearing across the US and in Romania
Structures also appeared this week in a small German town, a forbidding Spanish hillside and a muddy potato field in Belgium.
One of the bleak silver columns showed up in Sulzbach, Germany, overlooking a field near a shopping centre.
Another was by the ruins of an old church in Ayllon, Spain, where local authorities warned people to steer clear of the dangerous slopes - while a third was spotted on Tuesday in the Flemish village of Baasrode.
While the people behind some of the mysterious structures have been revealed, for the most part their origins remain a mystery.
Theories abound, including suggestions that artists, aliens or savvy marketing executives are behind the statures.
The fact that some of the monoliths were quickly removed has only added to speculation about their potential origins.

[*]According to nbcboston.com, unexplained metal objects, aka monoliths, have mysteriously popped up everywhere from Southern California to Utah's red-rock dessert to Romania.
But the most recent one popped up right here in New England at a quarry in Quincy, Massachusetts.
It was discovered this past Saturday morning at the Quincy Quarries Reservation and seemed to disappear as quickly as it came, the news station reported.
[*]The article describes the monolith to look like a crop circle made in the snow. It's all very '2001: A Space Odyssey', if you ask me.
[*]
Do you think this means there is intelligent life on other planets trying to contact us? Or do you think it's just a group of cheeky teenagers trying to freak us out?
If it's the latter then mission accomplished!

A new monolith has mysteriously appeared in San Francisco — although it's perhaps not the kind one may expect if you've been paying attention to the news recently.
Rather than the smooth-sided, metal monolith seen in Utah, and later other parts of the world, San Francisco received a quirkier version. In particular, this monolith seems to be made of ... gingerbread.
Posts on the gingerbread structure seen in Corona Heights Park circulated via social media Friday morning. Twitter user @RaemondBW saw the monolith and confirmed to SFGATE that it does, indeed, appear to be made of real gingerbread and frosting.
They described it as triangular in shape "like the one in Utah," and approximately 10 feet in height.

Anand Sharma
Others who saw the monolith guessed the monolith was closer to 5 or 6 feet in height, however. Anand Sharma happened upon it during a morning run in the park at about 7:30 a.m.
"I think I smelled it before I actually saw it, must have been fresh," he told SFGATE in a Twitter message.
"At first I was distracted by the double rainbow and walked by it to get a better photo," he added in a later message. "Then I smelled something and realized what it was."
Alexis Gallagher also happened upon the sweet monolith at about 8:25 a.m. Friday morning, confirming it was made of gingerbread, frosting and gumdrops.
"Saw it from a distance approaching the park, which I visit often," Gallagher said to SFGATE in a Twitter message. "Wasn’t sure what it was. ... I had a closer look and it looks like there’s a plywood skeleton underneath, but I try not to dwell on such mundane realities."
Gallagher added that he had to "stop my dog from nibbling on it."
Other people in the area shared their own photos and reaction upon discovering the monolith via Twitter:
This is perhaps the most playful version of a monolith that has happened since the discovery of a monolith in Utah over a month ago. The monolith's appearance among the red rocks of Utah fueled fierce debate over its origins, before it mysteriously disappeared 10 days after it was found — although a group has since claimed it is responsible for removing it. Other metal monoliths have appeared in other parts of the world, including Romania and Atascadero, Calif. (And OK, while we're at it, this structure technically doesn't count as a monolith as some have pointed out. It is made up of multiple gingerbread pieces, rather than one, but ... let's just pretend.)
Unfortunately those looking to check out the tower of baked gingerbread monolith goodness might be out of luck: Sharma noted that it began raining in San Francisco as of 11:30 a.m., writing, "...not sure what happens to gingerbread in the rain but it probably isn't good."
