Odd Thomas (2014)

Based on the book by Dean Koontz, this straight to DVD movie tells the adventures of Odd Thomas in the town of Pico Mundo. Odd, played by Anton Yelchin of Star Trek fame, is a psychic who sees the ghosts of murdered people and gets revenge for them. Directed by Stephen Somers, it is quite the yeoman work. The plot moves. There are plenty of twists especially if you haven't read the book. If you haven't read the book, it is missing the ghost of a dead famous singer.

It is well done horror tale that probably sits well in the direct to DVD world.
