#1
(correction - according to the page here <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.fathomevents.com/event/doctor-who-the-day-of-the-doctor">http://www.fathomevents.com/event/docto ... the-doctor</a><!-- m -->, it's on 11/25 at 7:30p)

Day of the Doctor in 3D

To be simulcast in multiple theaters. I never heard anything about this. I just saw Doctor Who 3D on the marquee at the Cinema 9 in downtown Santa Cruz the other night:

I'm not a big fan of the good doctor. But I might consider going if you go. We still haven't hung out since I relocated. DOOM Cruz uber alles!

I'll be out of town. Going to mom's for T-Day, then off to visit some friends for the weekend.

It's a bummer. I missed the 50th anniversary celebration with the London Symphony at the Royal Albert Hall and Matt Smith (previous Doctor) in attendance by one day.

Since this is a 1-day only deal, I'll have to wait for the next big anniversary celebration, or get a time machine

I totally thought T-Day was on the 25th. (I guess my brain was confusing it with some other holiday that always occurs on that date).

The 25th in Monday. Woo-hoo, I'm free.

You up for it DM? 3-D or regular?

I was thinking of going to the earlier showing (7:30p), but my mom tells me that they're simulcasting the special episode on BBC America, so I think I'm going to pass on the movie event and just watch at home in the comfort of my own fez:

So I watched it on BBC America. It was a pretty good episode.

David Tennant (#10) and Matt Smith (#11) help John Hurt (the War Doctor) resolve some stuff <no spoilers>. It's all timey-wimey. Good lines. Silliness. Best of all was the cameo with Tom Baker (#4). It was really good to see him after all these years.

Thumbs up...
