Scalizi has rebooted? Stolen? the H. Beam Piper classic Little Fuzzy and retold it.
But that's not important. I haven't read the book. What is important is that someone with a blog called Stomping on Yeti has written a review of it. Is this an attack on our Yeti? Do we need to start a preservation group. And how big of a creature do you have to be to stomp on a Yeti?

It reminded me of a book written in the fifties. All the characters are black and white, with the exception of Holloway. The names have remained the same only the story has changed, although not really. I guess I need to reread the Piper book.
Maybe because I vaguely remember the Piper book this book didn't seem to be that good? Or maybe the plot was so familiar, there weren't a lot of surprises? It's an odd book. It doesn't even seem to be up to Scalzi's usual level of writing.
All I can say is 'meh'

I loved it. I never read the original, and probably will need to do that now, but I though this was good Scalzi fun. I enjoy his style and it was a clever story. The only thing lacking was mention of a court reporter in the dramatic courtroom showdown.
