Monday work blues. Didn’t get all the KFM work done that I hoped to complete over the weekend. Got 3 hours of telemeetings today when I’d rather be focused on pressing tasks at hand.

After titrating off the steroids (all in all:8 weeks) I’m starting to feel the adverse effects of *not* taking the stuff: Big flare up of elbow tendonitis, knees all stiff & swollen. Lefty lessons for everyone this week.

If it ain’t one thing, it’s another.

8 weeks of steroids? Damn. I don't think I’ve ever been on them so long.

I got 2 YMAA meets, moar work, my weekly check in with mom, and then tix to a movie with some Kung Fu siblings.

Oakhurst run to the library and get dog food. Start glaring at my taxes.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

What do you feed your dogs? Yuki gets dehydrated Honest Kitchen with these frozen raw meat cubes (turkey right now). We used to do We Feed Raw but the cubes defrost faster.

Go home > work > lunch meeting with JM psych co-supe at 11th hour > work > yoga

For twenty years, we went with Eukanuba. Recently we switched to Diamond Naturals. Both are Kibbles. We supplement with lots of cooked chicken as treats.

One of our dog parkers is a raw food proponent, a borderline influencer, and she got most of us hooked on the raw diet. It's a little pricier but it did made Yuki's coat like silk. It just seems right. So yeah, we're in the anti-kibble camp.

I figured. When I become a rich magazine writer, I'll switch.

My mom's dogs had terrible skin issues. She had to be coned often to get her to stop licking and chewing on herself. When my mom passed and I was trying to rehome them, I was talking to a lot of terrier show people and a few said that some dogs can have bad chicken allergies. Aaron, my cohort in Tasteful Dudes also took his dog off chicken recently and things improved considerably (I don't remember what the symptom was, but they were frequenting the vet and it was getting expensive)

We give Yuki chicken every once in a while as a high reward treat. I just reject kibble. That just feels unnatural. Would you want to eat that?

It's another work day. 1 telemeeting down, 1 to go. Then iai tonight.

Work. Both YMAA & KFM. No yoga because I switched to Wednesday nights. Then the longass haul up the east corridor to Oaksterdam for a night of DSO at the Fox.

Kung Fu will be a struggle. Then shower and trim my epaulet pins and lammies for 2026. Maybe nap? Then back to the Fox for dso 2.
