Correction. On break until now (1)
Had some garlic pistachio noods. Not garlicky enough. Spicy tho and good furakake
Had a cherry ginger ale. That was horrible. I like ginger ale but the it was that fake maraschino flavor.
Caught a bit of Vampire Weekend - African high life cultural appropriation. Actually they were ok. Peppy.

Klangphonics is a 3 piece that does rather flat edm that doesnt go anywhere. 1 DJ could’ve made that soound
LaRussell is a rapper talk singer with a choir backing. The choir is nice, kinda r&b gospel, the the lead is preachy.
Now at polo field med. Tara got the jackfruit Barbacoa tacos which she enjoyed although last year they had a 3 sampler - this year was just 2 of the same flavor

Ludacris is exactly as imagined. He’s fast lyrically. He talked about Fast & Furious which is where I know him most.
Wallows was typical alt rock. Drummer had one riff that he does well.
And we’re back in Skip’s place with 2 guests.

Yea, kinda. I knew nothing about them until I watched them as Tara munched on jackfruit tacos. It’s a dumb schtick. I mean, it would be ok if their edm had some punch, but it was just kinda flat.
After the Wallows & dinner (i had an ok pad Thai, Tara had some loaded tots that were much better) we got rained on by shroomer a.
At first there were 2 softballs, a pot edible and another Wellbutrin shrooms in skips place. Then I was called away to a shroom gal who went ballistic so we took her down, trapping me in the tie dye zone for Gracie Adams (who I wanted to see) and leaving Tara in charge of Skip’s. They had a combative tripper there too who needed taking down (I saw nine of this) and that made the welbutrin gal puke and spike and then a few more IPRs. Eventually we had to roll the ballistic gal because she had no phone or contacts. The other restraint got picked up by parents. The Wellbutrin gal had a friend and we got her thru some dark music to the point where she could catch an Uber with her friend. There were still more in mainmed but I ditched my radio & tracker & Tara & I did the Irish goodbye. They’re probably still going.
On the walk back, Tara & I were chatting about how this was an odd OSL. The music has been mediocre - Doechii was the only outstanding act (although I liked that Sikh edm). Also it doesnt feel as San Franciscan as usual. It’s more out of town early 20s (sororities both nights) making rookie mistakes. Last night Tara was pleased to have gotten recognized for her psych skills when she didn’t do much. Tonight she had to work the hardest ever solo, which wasn’t as fun but I’m proud she rose to to occasion like she does.
One more to go…

I thought it was clever, but cheating a little since they were using Taurus pedals for that sub-bass...

Banksia @ some
I think… maybe it’s house music. Sometimes it’s hard to tell with edm.
Big Freedia & the SF gay men’s chorus is the best thing I’ve heard so far. Queer gospel rocks.

Lia & Lumos are here! Yay!
Finally tried Dubai chocolate - overrated. Like a pistachio KitKat
Mayer Hawthorne - pop r&b - meh
Lumos is still here so we’re popular
About to go on break and eat. We have $60 in food vouchers today so we can splurge a little. Tara is aiming for garlic noods. I was thinking cheesy but now am more about convenience (although the chowder bread bowl is tempting).
So many blisters

He’s just kinda pop rock
Had the clam chowder bread bowl. It was ok. Too much bread & a tad heavy on the black pepper, but clammy & creamy

Finneas can’t sing
Checked out a Spanish language band at Sutro. They were ok.
Casa Bacardi was bumpin
Ckaptone at Soma is solid edm - refreshing after a lot of mediocre edm.
Back at Marx meadow - it’s a sound clash hear between soma & twin peaks and Im here for it.

Dubai Chocolate = Pistachio Kit-Kat = AWESOME
Not awesome enough to justify the $, however.
Word on the street is that Finneas can’t sing
