Jackie Chan news

I can't believe you aren't at least pulling for a team from the same division as the Dodgers.

Go Rockies.

I mean, after last night they need all the help they can get. OuCh!

Plus, I went to A's- Red Sox matchups as a kid. If I don't have an NL team, I'm rooting for the Sox.

Aren't you supposed to get 5 runs with two men out?

Has my dream come true? Should i start the Doom Sports forum and leave poor Jackie Chan alone. i could make the DM happy and put it in the FAQ spot. But then what would laddybuck99 moderate?

Don't forget free Taco day at Taco Bell courtesy of your Boston Red Sox next Wednesday. Something about a stolen base and free tacos. I wasn't really paying attention.

Oh. It's over, isn't it?

That was rather quick. Good thing I didn't bet the farm. Particularly in light of my not having a farm. Hoo! That'd cause some trouble. Like putting a weasel in the hen house. Ouch!

Never mind!

DiceKay is Jackie Chan't favorite player. Whew! Back on thread.

Those Boston teams are just hogging all the fun. I'm thinking of changing my allegiances. Oh, wait.

I know what goes.

A dutch site and yet they all spoke English in the trailer. And yet it's animated so why have Jackie Chan. Are people really going to care it's him phonetically doing the voice? Hmmm?

I'm glad Jackie is voicing in Panda. You know that he doesn't voice for Jackie Chan Adventures, right? Go figure.

Meanwhile, in other Jackie news, this just in....

Quote:Jackie in kung fu offer to Charles

Charles received the unusual invitation at an awards ceremony in London to recognise the achievements of "unsung heroes" among the UK's Chinese community.

In a video message recorded in China, where he is making a film, Chan promised to drop everything if the Prince took up his offer.

Apologising for not being there in person, the Rush Hour star said: "I send all my love and kisses ... especially for Prince Charles. If you want to learn some kung fu, give me a call, I will come right away."

The Prince's attendance at the Pearl Awards at the Royal Festival Hall capped off a China-themed day, which began with a visit to London's Chinatown with the Duchess of Cornwall.

Charles introduced the awards by praising the 250,000-strong UK Chinese community's "significant and largely unsung contribution to national life".

He cited Chinese cuisine, traditional Chinese medicine, China's "precocious and brilliant musicians" - and even an "extremely talented and industrious" young man from China who recently joined his office.

But at least there is something that resembles Jackie on Screen right? That won't be the case in Kung Fu Panda. He'll be voicing some tiger or something. What's the tie in? Couldn't we just get the guy who voices the Jackie Chan adventures? Who would know? Who would care? It just comes off as strange. At least he's not doing it for the Dutch audience.

My allergies got the best of me last night so I dropped some expired claritin and then decided there was no use sleeping as it would waste those fine moments of clarity on unconsciousness. So I wound up watching Police Story, the original '93 flick where Jackie does that insane mall jump stunt. It's a funky film now, especially with its cheesey Hong Kong soundtrack. It feels older than it is. It reminds me of Thai film now. That Jackie sense of humor, odd detours into pratfalls and opportunities for Jackie to make silly faces, he seems so young then (not to mention Maggie and Brigette, who look like darling ingénues). But man, those fights, those stunts, that final orgy of broken glass, bone-crunching falls and hyper-kinetic choreography in the shopping mall - what a freaking awesome finale.

Ah, the quiet pleasure of insomnia. I really do prefer late nights; it's the early mornings that hurt.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

I call coup against the DM by wishing Jackie Chan a happy Birthday first. The race is still on to see who can get a picture with him first.

Ha! Not even close. Actually, I don't have JC on the Facebook.

Who the heck is Benny Chan? Do we need to start a Benny Chan news thread?

Benny directed a few Jackie flicks already

Who Am I? - no thread, but amusing for it's schizo script and one of the most intense Jackie stunts ever in the finale. In fact, you can just skip most of the rest of the film and just go to that stunt. It was his last great stunt, his final totally insane life gamble, just for our entertainment.

Benny also did Invisible Target - <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://brotherhoodofdoom.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=920">viewtopic.php?f=6&t=920</a><!-- l -->
