I'm more broken than you
Heh. That seems just as uncomfortable, but in the opposite direction. The required apparel is pretty undignified, too.

I got the shit bit out of my thighs. There's over 30 bites, almost all on my right thigh, but a few on my left, my hips, and one on my forearm, my foot and my ass. I fell behind on my pet flea treatments. At least, I think that's what it was. The bites are pretty big, bigger than pea-sized welts, and flea bites don't usually swell that much for me. No one else in my family got bit.

Maybe it's not bites. Maybe it's some sort of punishment. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

My heel is still fucked up. I've got therapeutic inserts in all my shoes.

Gosh, I hope it's not scabies. That's not fun.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Scabies leaves a very distinct bite. I've seen it on deadheads plenty o times... more than I'd like to remember.

I've not had any new bites since the house cleaning/pet medicating. Still itchy on a few of them. They are the type of bites that you have to scratch until you bleed, then squeeze the anticoagulant poison out. I know... TMI.

The itching from the bites has almost completely subsided. Some needed to have their scabs broken open to express the remaining toxin. Now I'm just itchy because my skin is dry from the cold weather.

How odd.
I just went through a very similar episode.
LC thought I should go see a doctor. But I saw no point in paying a doc to say, Wow, that's puzzling.
Ditto, didn't look like scabies. Took most of a month for it to clear up.
Our cat is susceptible to ringworm, but this just didn't manifest that way, from my readings.

One possibility is a reaction to oil paints. I recently hit my oil painting hard again. At times I get annoyed with the brushes and resort to blending on the canvas using my fingers. A lot of exposure, including the Turpenoid for cleaning. Never had a problem before. Then again, never been this age before.

Some of my oils are very old. We're talking titaniums and so forth, which are more dangerous.

I started wearing latex gloves, which either helped or the problem simply ran its course. But now I've developed a troublesome rubber fetish.

It just never ends....

I've been seeing colored halos around the streelights when I walk the dogs in the mornings. But it has been getting more pronounced the last couple of days. I made the mistake of checking this symptom on WebMD. It's one of the symptoms for Glaucoma. Good times.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit

Of course if you take off your glasses and the halos vanish, you might want to stop worrying about emergency eye surgery.
