My dive into Patricia Briggs continues: #69: Shifting Shadows, #70: Cry Wolf, #71: Dead Heat, and #72: Fair Game. Shifting Shadows was a collection of short stories in the same “Mercy Thompson” universe as the previous nine books I’d read. The last three are also in the same universe, but focusing on adjacent characters: Charles and Anna Cornick, a mated pair of werewolves at the opposite ends of the dominance spectrum. Each book explores how, as their relationship develops, they both move closer to middle with each other; him relinquishing control and her standing up for herself and others.
