Seen it in IMAX from the third row. Christopher Nolan continues to hate linear story telling and always makes it work out. How is Robert Pattinson making such a big career out of being the biggest weasel? Matt Damon went to the gym a lot. I never need to see Circe's sequence again. It's burned in. Is Todd Holland ever going to be a big boy?
I enjoyed it but was not overwhelmed. I think I would rewatch it for the score alone because it add so much. The fact that most of the film was done practically was crazy. I can't even comprehend how you would go about planning for all that. Elliot Page did a really good job. Initially, I thought he was kind of wasted on the beach, but not so much.
I thought a lot about how the hell did they do the handheld shots with the IMAX cameras? Did they put the word out for just the biggest camera operator they could find. That being said I don't know if IMAX added all that much to the experience. Like I said, the music is what really pushed me around. And it might have been because I was too close, but some of the close-ups seemed out of focus, especially when they did the focus pulls from one person to another in a 2 shot.
Glad I saw it. Glad I saw it in IMAX. Now I can be one of the cool kids. No, my IMAX wasn't on film. It was a digital version. There are only 23 theaters in the US that can actually screen it on film, one of which is the SF Metreon.
Fun fact, you can't make an IMAX film, that you are are going to project from film, more than three hours. So, two hours and fifty-nine is about the maximum you can make it. That three hours was cut from the ninety hours of footage shot. Hard to do long Oners with an IMAX because the film mags only hold about 3 minutes worth of film

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
