The first Outernational outside which mean they end earlier but that was fine because it was off tonight. Brudda Ben just broke up with his gf of 8 years, who is my co-supervisor of JAH med psych. She told me at brunch last week. I saw Ben at the Quarry both nights but we were preoccupied and didn’t get to chat privately so tonight was the night. It was good for him to talk it out and I hope I offered him a little solace. We shall see what impact this will have on our Krew.
Bumped into that homeless dad of Tara’s elementary friend. He seems to be declining.
Crowd was thin. It was chilly and there was another rival reggae that night. Knowledge-tafari was playing at the Blue Lagoon dive bar but he stopped by to chant a bit and was off key, totally killing the vibe. Kava Jah took the Mike but couldn’t quite rally if back.
The reggae still had a few moments. DM caught 2 joints from two separate audience tosses, 1 straight from Selecta 7 who aimed that one right at DM, who true to form failed to catch it (it’s a small black tune at night) but dm recovered it easily since it was clearly tossed at him.
