I need to shift gears and catch up on some other chores and such. I am the featured artist at Red Rock Coffee open mic on Indigenous People's Day and then Tasteful Dudes are the featured artist at 3 Flames open mic the following Wednesday. Both 15-20min sets. I'll probably try to work Ludwig's back in in the next 2-4 weeks.
Today - finish removing the dead layer of turf (mostly crabgrass and weeds) in the back yard. I already had 3/4 of it done, but it's been too hot and I've been pretty busy. I started to work on it this morning before the heat, but I got 3 mosquito bites on my leg, so I stopped...(I hope they weren't carrying west Nile Virus). When I finish that, I need to level the gopher mounds, remove the bigger stones, put down weed screen and then move the giant pile of mulch I got from the driveway.
Lots of house cleaning, putting things away. Moving some things to the garage.
I was trying to move a massive display cabinet my dad has to the room where I've collected all my family's things, but I discovered that it's too long and can't make the 90 degree turn into the destination. Somebody at work was giving away a longer, but shorter display cabinet, so I managed to get that a few weeks ago and it's in the room now, but it's too low. I'm sure it was part of a set and was meant to go on top of a long cabinet. Luckily, I have a TV Console-ish thing in the living room, so today I will try to empty that out, move it in the room, then puzzle over how to get the display case on top of it. When that's done, I get to transfer all the curios from one cabinet to the other.
There's a city wide garage sale in Cupertino coming up. I'd like to start prepping stuff for that now. There is still much to purge.
