Empire
Empire is a podcast that began life talking about East India Company. I think I started listening because I read the books of one of the cohosts, William Darymple.
They have since gone on to talk about many different empires, but they usually dovetail back to India. It's all quite interesting.
My interest kicked into high gear when they started talking about Ireland, Ireland being England's first colony as England grew their empire. And, yes, they do tie it back to India. The lessons England learned subduing Ireland, they used in India. Plus, the disadvantaged second sons of Ireland went on to India and made huge fortunes. It wasn't a connection I had ever come across before. New trivia all the time.
