A friend of mine who also hated it said it was a show for dumb people who think they're smart.

I think it's more a show for nerds and geeks. Maybe that's the same thing. 

I confess that I'm deep in that demographic. Shit, I'm going to Comic-con next weekend. That's hardcore nerd and I may be doing some work for Den of Geek. For realz. The sci-fi and fantasy genre easter eggs in BBT were golden. BBT redeemed Wil Wheaton (Shut up Wesley!) And Bob's Professor Proton on BBT was hilarious, especially when he force-ghosts.
