The performance was better because there were more monks - the LA group was ordered to participate by the abbot. The dinner was more expensive and the service was slow, and the veg food was bland. On the whole, Milpitas was better, bigger and more over the top. Plus the table was more fun.
I took a bunch of pix with Jonny’s camera but had a tough time with it. He set it so there was no flash and that increased the exposure time so I kept missing my shots. Probably came out like crap. But I shot a lot so maybe a few might be ok.
Brother Dieter is competing tomorrow so we’re making an early night of it. Could be total chaos - this event has the sketchiest organization - G2 is being looked upon as the overseer, much to Jonny’s & my chagrin because despite her excellent etiquette, she doesn’t understand competitions at all having never competed in any sport ever. Not sure how Sunday will play out at all.
