Inside Man has the most absurd premise. Stanley Tucci is a Death Rom inmate ready to die. He's a former professor of forensics. While he's waiting to die, he helps solves crimes like you. He has fellow death row prison who has an eidetic memory listen in to the conversations as a sort of human dictation machine. And he only solves crimes that have moral worth. Totally perfectly normal. That's how most crimes are solved.
And yet, it's kind of watchable. The other parts of the puzzle is David Tennant playing a vicar in a small English Town. There is a reporter trying to do a story that bridges the two worlds. Tucci is in prison in the US just to add to the complexity. And overseeing it all is Stephen Moffat who did Sherlock Holmes on BBC and several seasons of Dr. Who.
My logic brain wants to jettison this show. But my visceral part wants to know how this stupid crime gets resolved. It's a four episode series. I watched this on the way to watching Blockbuster.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
