They were actually the opening act. A 5 piece: drums, bass, guitar, slide guitar & Michaela on harp & vocals. Michaela and the slide carry it but the rest keep the pace. Lots of sweet original tunes, a few of which I thought I could map onto dead jams. Here Comes Sunshine to close. Not incendiary but enjoyable.
I vacillated about coming and missed the first song or two. I regret that. Stacy did a big hike at Nicene with Yuki so I’m here alone which is weird. I was going to smoke a joint on the way but didn’t. Only about 50 peeps here now but maybe a half dozen masked.
I met Michaela in the lobby. Tried not to fanboy. She’s very sweet.
