I'm more disturbed that Greg actually remembers buying the last Eagles studio album than the fact that the Eagles are back in the studio. But that's Greg for you.

I was at the Hell Freezes Over tour when it came to Shoreline. What can I say? I enjoyed Hotel California - it had some great reggae in it. I was working for RM, of course. Even though HFO was well over a decade ago, I remember it quite clearly. Tons of middle-aged folk were all dolled-up like there were on the way to their L.A. prom, only much worse for the wear since they were all long past the time when they looked good in those kinds of outfits. Women in evening gowns, men in open-chested wide-collared shirts, it was a freaking clown show. And the limos. There were more limos at Shoreline than I have ever seen before or ever seen since. The entire lower lot was packed with limos. I think every rental limo in the Bay Area was there. Everyone there dropped some serious cash, not just on the outrageously expensive tickets, but also for the rides and the clothes. It was more important to look good than to actually be there, so many attendees were disappointed when it was done. The show went quietly until the end, when every single limo-driven couple got in some sort of spat and had it out in the parking lot. So the drama. Of course, the most dangerous situation is a domestic dispute, so RM was called many times to clean up bitch slappings and sobbing middle-aged debutantes. It was a hysterical evening from my perspective. I still chuckle over it when I think of it. I'd work another Eagles tour in a heartbeat.
