Is that the lamest name for a movie ever? Maybe we should start a thread discussing that topic.
Amazingly, it was not the lamest movie ever. I went to this movie to see Kevin Smith in his role as the Warlock. ( Get this man out of my Command Center!) but alas, his role was small. However, the rest of the film was goofy fun enough to give this movie a good rating. It had a lot of great action set pieces and only one of them was completely silly, but the movie built towards it. Think Big Rig verses plane that doesn't exist except in computers.
Once again, it's a plot to steal a lot of money. Once again, the bad guys are Super Cool. (It was odd to see Tom Olyphant without his Deadwood mustache) And Once Again, Bruce Willis spends the movie covered in blood. Most his but some the other guys. But the movie had a few good twists. Justin Long (Mac/Pc ads, Galaxy Quest) was really funny playing the Ubernerd. Amazingly, his character has a little bit of an arc. Willis's Daughter Lucy is damn funny. I think she's going to star in the next Die Hard movie. And Willis has a great fight with Maggie Q. It's Action Action Action. Don't think too hard about the plot. It will only make your head hurt.
And the irony award goes to not me. I thought the man who played the head of the FBI cyber terrorism unit also was the head of the terrorists in True Lies. Damn, they look like brothers. But it's not true. But it should be and then this review would have had gravitas.
