I remember PPFY once saying he thought that turtles were the perfect food because the shell formed the bowl and you could use a foot as the spoon. We used to pass a can of turtle soup back and forth for night drops. Then DM saw wild sea turtles laying eggs at Torteguero, Costa Rica. Later DM was served a turtle banquet near Shaolin where the turtle was steamed and looked just like it did sitting in the aquarium a few minutes before, only now he was still and sitting on a platter of garnishes. Even worse was the eye-rape of ED's, Cannibal Holocaust, which had an all-too-graphic giant turtle slaughter scene.
