Mozart in the Jungle
#2
Stacy started watching this one night when I was at my mom's and got hooked. I joined in later so I skipped some of the earlier episodes. It reminds me of Glee, but a symphony version. We've been enjoying it too (obvs since we're nearly finished with all 4 seasons) and I respect how it has depicted female composers (Caroline Shaw plays herself in S4).

McDowell is superb, as is Bernadette Peters, who is still incredibly talented and stunning in her 70s. Wallace Shawn also appears to be immortal, playing the same sort of neurotic character that he always does, only a little grayer. Monica Bellucci was great in the season in Venice. It's good to see Masi Oka again too. The tea ceremony episode was great - it reminded me of Mishima (the Schrader film, not the writer himself).

It's a bummer how it got cancelled. Such is the shifting landscapes of TV nowadays.

We'll likely finish it tonight.
