Finished. Just in time because I’m scheduled to interview LeSean Thomas tomorrow night. He’s in Japan and the article is really about Yasuke so this was just background research.
CB was okay - in the end it didn’t really go anywhere. It’s was more of an exercise in anime creativity and cross over. Had its moments tho. It took me halfway through until it occurred to me that most of the protege were black. In my defense, it’s done in a classic anime style and in Japanese so I was just hi king they all had good tans in the future, or in this alternate reality, or wherever this wasn’t supposed to be set.
I liked the overall take on bots and the drunken Ronin swordsman 9ine.
Plenty of anime sword fights. Still not DOOM recommended. You’d need a better palette for anime to enjoy this and it’s not a good starter binge. Yasuke is better this way.
