The latest by director Teddy Chan. It just hit Netflix although I watched it via my ninja site sans subtitles so there's a chance that the dialog really sux with may spoil it but it's more about the visuals anyway. Based on a MMORPG, it's surprisingly engaging, imaginative and very visual - a fantasy sword & sorcery tale about an imperial martial arts tournament of epic proportions. The costumes and CGI world are opulent - a tale of revenge and complex relationships with a despicable villain. Lots of fight scenes that constantly level up like a videogame should. Dragons, crazy weapons, absurd tests, heavy on the wuxia, high flying Kung Fu (choreographed by veteran ultravi master Stephen Tung), sanguineous and immensely colorful.
Plenty of sword fights. I'd say like 40% sword fight overall. DOOM recommended.
