The Coen bros are the new Woody Allens. Star studded casts, humor with commentary, ensemble interwoven story arcs. This was amusing for sure. I usually disdain Clooney, except when he's directed by the Coens, then he is funny. Thanos is solid. Scarjo & Tilda always deliver. HP factor 2 - Dumbledore & Voldemort. Star Trek factor 2 Voyager EMH & Picard nerd girl. But most important, dm's dinner date in Dublin, the ever lovely redhead, the Widow from the Badlands.
Ahhhh, the Widow.
She won Cannes Best Actress last year for Little Joe, which I'm very eager to see. So fun to see her in this even tho it's a tiny part. She's still gorgeous as ever here. Keep your eye on her. Her star is still rising and I will always watch her and remember our night in Dublin with great fondness.
No sword fights but Clooney sits on his sword, which made me chuckle.
