Caught this again recently and saw it through, just to see if it holds up. It kinda does - plot seems more painfully dumb now - the ol white savior turned blue is even more glaring - and the cgi is years old so far from cutting edge. But its still visually spectacular, surprisingly so. And once again, like within many of these but ‘park your brain outside’ flicks, I remembered very little from my first and only viewing, so it seemed fresher than it should have for me. Sigorney looked awkward as a Navi.
