Vodka hides in fruit like lice hide in BeePee's nose hairs. Ok, that analogy sucks, but vodka does hide in fruit to the point that it's like candy. Ever done a vodka watermelon? Yikes. You'll be drunker than snot after a slice or two.
We went to a party at Jennifer's. Yes, that Jennifer. The Jennifer. Anyway, her hubby Tim had prepared this vodka strawberry lemonade by leaving strawberries in vodka for days, changing out the strawberries occassionally for fresher ones, and dropping a few vanilla beans in it. This made a red strawberry syrup which was then mixed with homemade lemonade. Yummy. Stacy had a glass and didn't even realize it was alcoholic. I'm looking at it and judging she just downed a few shots of vodka. Most people woudl be schnockered if they ate three strawberries. That's where you could really taste the vodka. You could only taste strawberries elsewhere. I could have drunk a lot of that. Yummmm. Can't do that with whiskey. Just goes to show, every liquor has its place under heaven.
