Midge Ure was the lead singer of Ultravox during their MTV heyday years.
He performed acoustic versions of "Vienna", "The Voice" and "Dancing with Tears in My Eyes" along with solo and new material. There was no band, just Midge, an electro-acoustic guitar and the voice of an angel.
The crowd was enthusiastic, clapping and cheering non-stop and demanding three ovations (four if you count the one he said "this is where I'd normally stop and watch from the stairs"). His voice and guitar playing were stunning.
He closed the show with a song about peace and shouted "Je suis Charlie".
